What is a turbocharger? It is an exquisite air compressor installed on the exhaust pipe of the engine. It uses the exhaust gas discharged from the engine to drive the turbine in the turbine chamber to rotate, and the turbine drives the coaxial impeller to rotate. The air is compressed and pressurized into the cylinder. Due to the increased air density entering the cylinder, more fuel can be fully burned, thus greatly improving the power of the engine and reducing fuel consumption.
After the cold start of the car engine, it is not necessary to refuel quickly. It should run at idle speed for three to five minutes. This is to increase the oil temperature and improve the flow performance, so that the turbocharger bearings can be fully lubricated. This is especially important in winter. Otherwise, it is easy to cause early wear of the supercharger rotor shaft, bearing, sealing ring and other components due to lack of oil. For vehicles that have been parked for a long time (more than a week), be sure to lubricate the supercharger before restarting the engine. The method is to loosen the oil inlet pipe joint of the supercharger and pour clean oil of the same grade as the oil pan into the oil inlet. In addition, when changing the lubricating oil, cleaning or replacing the oil filter, the turbocharger should be filled with lubricating oil according to the above method, and then the vehicle should be started.

In addition, it is necessary to avoid long-term idling operation of the turbocharger engine, otherwise, due to the low oil pressure during idling, the supercharger rotor shaft will be affected by floating, resulting in early wear of the rotor shaft, bearings and seal rings. . Under the action of the turbocharger, the amount of air entering the combustion chamber is greatly increased. Under the condition that the volume of the combustion chamber of the engine remains unchanged, it is equivalent to increasing the compression ratio, which greatly increases the working intensity of the engine. High machining precision for turbocharged engines, strict assembly techniques. All of these determine that the turbocharged engine is under the conditions of high temperature, high speed, high power, high torque and low emission. Therefore, when selecting the oil used in the turbocharged engine, it is required that the oil used must have good anti-wear and high temperature resistance, and it is easy to build a high-strength oil film. The current synthetic engine oil or semi-synthetic engine oil can meet this requirement, so in addition to the engine oil specified by the original factory, high-quality lubricating oil such as synthetic engine oil and semi-synthetic engine oil can also be used.
